The Leaf Slug's Home

Leaf Slugs are primarily found off the coasts of Japan, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Leaf Slugs love to to dwell in shallow waters that have an abundance of algae/sea plants.

Population per Location

Although the leaf slug population is unknown, scientists estimate that a third of the population lives in the Philippines, another third lives in Indonesia, and the last in Japan.

Habitat Threat

Leaf slugs dwell in saltwater.

However, their homes (in certain parts) are threatened by litter. This is especially harmful to the slug, since they come up to coastlines. This means that they can be harmed due to the litter colliding or crushing them.
